MANTECA REALTOR PATRICK RABELO RECEIVES
PRESIDENTIAL VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARD
(MODESTO, California) Patrick Rabelo, REALTOR® with Prudential California Realty's Manteca office, was recently awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the President's Council for service and civic participation within the Manteca community.
In January 2002, President George W. Bush issued a challenge to all Americans to make time to help their neighbors, communities, and Nation through service. He called on each person to dedicate at least 4,000 hours – or two years – to service over the course of their lives. He created the USA Freedom Corps to help all Americans answer his call to service and help foster a culture of service, citizenship, and responsibility. The President's Volunteer Service Award is an initiative of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation in conjunction with the Corporation for National and Community Service and the USA Freedom Corps and is administered by the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network.
The President's Volunteer Service Award provides thanks and honor to Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service. Rabelo received this award for his work with Manteca Youth Focus, a local organization geared to providing young leaders with scholarship opportunities based on their desire to make a difference through community involvement. Manteca Youth Focus promotes youth and gives the children and young adults a way to promote themselves in a healthy and productive manner.
Rabelo joined Manteca Youth Focus in 2005 and was elected as President of the Board of Directors in January 2007. He takes a very active role in the Manteca Youth Focus organization because he truly believes in its great cause.
