Tracy - “Think inside the Triangle”
Tracy - The city of Tracy is outlined by a triangle formed by Interstate 205 on the north end, I-5 to the East and I-580 to the southwest. Its population is around 83,000 people making it the second most populated city in San Joaquin County. The city is a highly desirable commuter town for the San Francisco Bay area workforce.
Commuting from Tracy to the San Jose/Sunnyvale area is quite easy since there is direct commuter rail service between those areas. The train is great for commuting as it has amenities such as laptop outlets and restrooms. The travel time can be used to catch up on emails, read a book, or just relax and enjoy the ride.
Tracy’s crown jewel is the 1920’s art deco styled Grand Theatre Center for the Arts. This is a gorgeous venue with live entertainment of all kinds.
For outdoor fun, try renting a waverunner or a ski boat from H20 Craft Rentals (next to Tracy Oasis Marina Resort) and go skipping through the water on the Delta. Or ride the breeze out over the city in Professor Muldoon’s Hot Air Balloons for an exciting, unforgettable experience.
A notable event held every year is the annual Tracy Dry Bean Festival & 5K/10K “Bean Run” which brings out active achievers in the community to participate. This is a highly anticipated event which brings everyone together to catch up with old friends, enjoy the local flavor, and support area businesses. The tradition has continued for 25 years.
