Lodi

Lodi is a small town with a big heart.  The population is around 63,000.  Located at the north end of San Joaquin County, in the central valley north of Stockton and South of Sacramento this is the spot for the non-urbanite. Lodi has a very old town feel in its central downtown area which features the Amtrak depot and downtown shopping.  Surrounding Lodi you can find just about every variety of wine grape growing in some vintner’s field.  Wineries and growers abound in the area and wine tasting goes on year round.  The Lodi Grape Festival is the grand two day event that happens here every year in March drawing crowds of connoisseurs to sample wines and olive oils and food from local restaurants. 

Lodi as a permanent location is ideal for travelers.  It sits between the 99 and I-5, adjoining 88 and 12, has rail service available, and is 45 minutes from the Sacramento International Airport.  Yet it is a comfy smaller town with charm to spare!
